A Living Centre of Sikhi in Edmonton

Founded by a small group of devoted Sangat members, Gurdwara Dukh Nivaran Sahib has grown into one of Edmonton's spiritual homes — a place where Guru Granth Sahib Ji's teachings of equality, seva, and simran are lived daily.

Milestones

1989

Gurdwara Founded

A small group of Sangat members established the first Darbar Sahib in a rented hall.

1998

New Building Opens

The Sangat raised funds to build the current Gurdwara on 92 St NW.

2015

Live Streaming Launched

Daily kirtan and programs began broadcasting live for sangat unable to attend in person.

2024

Langar Hall Expanded

A renovated langar hall now seats 400 sangat members at once.
